“The Mahogany Door,” the new fantasy-adventure book for young readers by Durham, NC, author J. Mark Boliek, is now available as both an ebook and an enhanced ebook.

The first title from Split Rail Books in Durham, the 353-page paperback version of “The Mahogany Door” was published in May and has since received a positive review from the highly respected Midwest Book Reviews.

Aware of the growing popularity of ebooks, however, the author said he always intended to have the book converted.

“Amazon reports that it sells more ebooks than paperbooks,” Boliek observed. “A Citigroup analyst predicts that ebooks will surpass printed book sales altogether within a few years. I certainly want ‘The Mahogany Door’ on that bandwagon!”

The regular ebook is available for Kindle, Nook, and iPad users from Barnes & Noble (BN.com), Amazon, and from Apple’s iBookstore for $1.99. The enhanced version, which features embedded music from the original-music soundtrack CD that accompanies the paperback book, is also available from the iBookstore for iPads, iPhones, and the iPod Touch for $5.99

In the same genre as the Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia series, “The Mahogany Door” is the first of a trilogy of books Boliek has entitled “The Bruinduer Narrative”.
