Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce that Ed O’Keefe, Deputy General Counsel and Global Legal Operations Executive of Bank of America, will be joining the Firm’s Litigation practice group next month.

At Moore & Van Allen, O’Keefe will build on his substantial experience in financial services, regulatory, litigation, employment, intellectual property and cybersecurity matters. His professional background encompasses many aspects of the banking industry, including the laws and regulations financial institutions must navigate and the recent history of the industry with regulators. O’Keefe understands the nuances and intricacies of a broad range of issues facing the financial sector, which will enable him to provide the Firm’s clients with deft insight in dealing with today’s challenges.

O’Keefe joined Bank of America in 2004, and held numerous prestigious roles during his tenure, including General Counsel from January 2009 until September 2012. He also served as Head of Litigation, Global Compliance and Operational Risk Executive, Senior Privacy Executive, and Deputy General Counsel for Staff Support Functions. O’Keefe has served in senior leadership positions for the financial services industry, including as Chair of the Clearing House Association Board.

O’Keefe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Rhode Island. He received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and is a member of the North Carolina, New York and New Jersey Bar Associations.
