Moore & Van Allen Litigation Practice Group Expands in North Carolina
Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce the growth of its Litigation practice group in North Carolina. Tandy T. Blackburn, Kelly E. Eisenlohr-Moul and Nader S. Raja have joined the Firm’s Charlotte office Litigation team, and Deven S. Gray has joined the Firm’s Research Triangle office Litigation team.
Tandy T. Blackburn serves as counsel on Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation team, focusing primarily on discovery issues in the defense of complex commercial litigation, including financial regulatory investigations, employment litigation and construction litigation. She has become particularly adept in managing electronic discovery and preparing privilege logs in large-scale, multi-jurisdiction litigation. Blackburn’s background includes discovery issues in defense of high exposure pharmaceutical, product liability, toxic tort and environmental cases. Blackburn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University, where she graduated cum laude.
Kelly E. Eisenlohr-Moul serves as counsel on Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation team, as well as on the Firm’s Employment & Labor team. Her practice focuses on the defense of management clients in employment-related litigation. She handles a broad range of cases, from individual employment disputes to multi-plaintiff and class action litigation. Her experience is particularly deep in “business divorce” cases, including allegations of trade secret misappropriation and the breach of restrictive covenants. She also handles ERISA benefits and fiduciary duty claims, and has extensive experience with individual employment discrimination claims. In addition to her litigation responsibilities, Eisenlohr-Moul advises clients on a variety of employment issues. She has provided guidance to companies on the internal investigation of employee complaints, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower complaints. Eisenlohr-Moul earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hollins University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia, where she graduated cum laude.
Deven S. Gray practices as an associate on Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation team, and also practices on the Firm’s Employment & Labor team. Gray earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor degree from Duke University. Before joining Moore & Van Allen, Gray worked in the Office of Counsel at Duke University where she provided support to both the University and Duke University Health System on a broad range of legal issues, primarily pertaining to employment and labor matters.
Nader S. Raja practices as an associate on Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation team. His litigation experience includes representing individuals and businesses in various state and federal matters involving breach of contract, business torts, product liability, lender liability, fraudulent transfers, construction issues, and real property disputes. Raja has taken and defended depositions, attended mediated settlement conferences, successfully negotiated favorable settlements, and argued numerous dispositive and non-dispositive motions in North Carolina and Florida trial courts. In addition to general commercial litigation matters, he is also experienced in assisting clients in conducting internal risk assessments and regulatory compliance reviews in response to new or existing legislation. Raja earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia, and his Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University, where he graduated cum laude. He was selected for inclusion on the 2014 North Carolina "Rising Stars" list, which is included in Super Lawyers magazine, for General Litigation.
