General Parts' In-House Counsel Joins Manning Fulton

Manning Fulton is pleased to announce the addition of Robert L. Ange to the firm. Robert is the former Vice-President and Deputy General Counsel of General Parts International, Inc. (GPI/CARQUEST), a privately held, multi-billion dollar auto parts distribution/retailer recently acquired by Advance Auto Parts. Robert played an instrumental role in helping close the $2 billion acquisition and led the GPI legal integration and transition team after the closing.

Gerald Thornton, a senior partner at Manning Fulton and outside counsel to GPI for 40 years, said, “The attorneys at our firm have had the privilege to work with Robert as a client and now welcome him on board as a colleague. With both corporate transactional and litigation experience, Robert will represent clients in areas including commercial transactions, acquisitions, intellectual property, trademarks, products liability, franchising, supply chain management, and contracts & agreements. His industry experience includes automotive, agribusiness, information technology, commercial real estate, retail, distribution, and manufacturing.

Prior to his role at GPI, Robert served as Counsel at Bayer CropScience, LP where he assisted various business units with a range of commercial contract and regulatory matters.
