About North Carolina Super Lawyers

North Carolina Super Lawyers is a listing of lawyers who received the highest point totals using a multi-step evaluation process that includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations by practice area. Only 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to appear on the list.

The selection process for the Rising Stars category is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except that 1) a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less and 2) candidates for the Rising Star category do not go through a peer evaluation by practice area. No more than 2.5 percent of North Carolina’s lawyers are recognized in this category.
