New Patriotic Film Educates and Inspires American Families on the U.S. Constitution
“In Search of Liberty” is an entertaining, educational film that follows a modern-day family on an adventurous journey in which they learn key elements of the U.S. Constitution. The family-friendly movie, produced by IC Freedom Pix, will be available via BluRay, DVD and Digital HD starting Tuesday, Aug. 29.
“In Search of Liberty” combines humor with history to educate viewers of all ages on the Constitution in a visual, straightforward, fun and empowering way. A captivating, prominent figure from America’s past takes a modern-day family on a series of wild adventures with informative touch points around every corner. With a mix of comedy, simplicity, magic and logic, he opens the family’s eyes to the origins and importance of the U.S. Constitution, how it is being challenged today and how, if it is lost, freedom goes along with it. The film also enlightens the audience on what can be done to protect the Constitution.
The film features Jimmy Hager, accomplished stage, TV and movie actor; Bobby Deen, a familiar face on numerous cooking shows and the son of American celebrity chef Paula Deen; Karen Boles, publisher and talented movie, TV and voiceover actress; and Simone Griffeth, who starred alongside David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone in “Death Race 2000.” In addition, brother and sister Kayla and Tyler Huth, of “No Place in this World”, and TV’s “Rays Rookies” and “Manhunt Unibomber” respectively, both have starring roles.
“It is an honor to be involved in a movie that delivers such an impactful message for all ages,” said Jimmy Hager, who plays the prominent historical figure in the movie. “’In Search of Liberty’ is a great film to educate families on the Constitution in a light and playful way, illuminating one of the most important topics in American history and current American politics.”
Key aspects of the Constitution and important Amendments are clearly communicated throughout the film, including those guaranteeing freedom of religion and speech, the right to bear arms, warrants for search and seizure, and more.
“When the idea of ‘In Search of Liberty’ was first developed we really wanted to provide more clarity and understanding of the Constitution, with the goal of empowering generations of viewers to understand their rights and limits of potential new government laws,” said Norm Novitsky, the film’s director and producer who is an independent filmmaker and founder of IC Freedom Pix and IC Liberty Films. Novitsky is known for his steadfast support of the U.S. Constitution, and this latest project aimed to bring back a national awareness of its importance.
The film’s composer is Geoff Levin, a multiple award-winning movie and TV composer, orchestrator and songwriter who has scored more than 40 full-length films and contributed music to another 30 features. In keeping with the theme of the movie, America’s most patriot rock band, Madison Rising, performs a few popular numbers during a Constitution Day celebration scene. Additionally, co-producer Eric Sherman, who has produced and consulted in the industry for nearly five decades, and writer and co-producer Tom Solari, who is also a long-time veteran of Hollywood and the theater, brought a wealth of experience to the movie.
The film will be available for purchase Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the following formats: BluRay for $22.95, DVD traditional box for $19.95, DVD self-mailer for $17.87, Vimeo Digital HD purchase for $14.99 and Vimeo On Demand rental for $9.99.
