Dean’s Seafood Introduces Monthly Prix Fixe Charity Menu

Dean Ogan, owner of Dean’s Seafood Grill & Bar, has announced that the restaurant is launching a Monthly Prix Fixe Charity Menu beginning November 1. The chef-driven three-course prix fixe menu will be available for $33 per guest, with $3 from each order being donated to a designated charity each month. Guests will also have the opportunity in the restaurant to donate additional funds to the charities.

For November, Dean's will be donating to the Lenoir/Greene United Way to help with Hurricane Matthew relief efforts as suggested by Chef Vivian Howard in her #fishstew campaign. Dean’s Seafood Grill & Bar is located at 1080 Darrington Drive in Cary.

Dean’s November Prix Fixe Charity Menu will be:

First course:

Local Kale & Beet Salad with grapefruit, roasted local pecans, goat cheese, and a champagne vinaigrette

Second course:

NC Bouillabaisse: local shrimp, clams and speckled trout in a tomato seafood broth with potatoes, onion and fennel, served with grilled ciabatta

Third course (dessert):

Pumpkin Crunch Torte: Five layers of pumpkin crunch consisting of walnuts, vanilla wafers, brown sugar and butter with a pumpkin batter baked on top, with sweetened whipped cream between the layers

“We have been formulating this charity idea for several months, and hurricane relief efforts are the perfect cause to kick off this series,” said Ogan. “There are so many people and organizations down east that lost so much to Hurricane Matthew. We are honored to be a part of helping them rebuild and regroup. We also look forward to partnering with other local charities in the coming months to raise awareness and funds for organizations doing great work in our community.”
