Rocky Top Hospitality Owner Dean Ogan has announced that Twisted Fork restaurant and bakery will reopen with updated décor and an enhanced menu on Sunday, January 24 at 11 a.m. Twisted Fork, located at 3751 Sumner Boulevard, Suite 170 in the Triangle Towne Center Commons, has been closed since August 2015 due to a fire.

Returning menu favorites such as house-smoked barbecue, fresh-ground burgers, and Pastry Chef Richard Smith’s famous scratch-made desserts, will join new additions including pizzas made with fresh dough from its bakery. “We added pizza for my kids – in fact, two of the pizzas are named after them – and will utilize meats from our smoker on quite a few of them,” said Ogan.

Twisted Fork will feature its extensive salad and fruit bar with creative salads, homemade dressings and seasonal offerings. The popular all-day $3 craft beer specials will make a welcome return, as well as Twisted Q To Go take-home items.

“Is the menu a little all over the place?” asked Ogan. “Yes, but it’s food we love, casual, made fresh, and delicious. We would like to thank all our longtime customers for their support, and look forward to welcoming them back to Twisted Fork.”

Since the fire, many of the restaurant’s employees have been working at other Rocky Top Hospitality venues, and Chef Smith relocated his baking operation to 1705 Prime on East Millbrook Road. Twenty-nine of Twisted Fork’s 40 employees will be returning, and each will receive a monetary bonus for their patience during the restaurant’s renovation.
